Laptop cooling pad.
Laptops need to dissipate heat by at least some airflow underneath, so typically, you can’t actually have them on your laps for a long time. Don’t put it on carpet, on a bed or pillow or other such thing. Put it on a hard surface — a table, a lapdesk, a large book — anything so that it’s legs are keeping it a little off the surface and letting air get underneath. Also make sure that any vents you see on the case are not blocked by dust, your hands, or anything else.
