Measuring Laptop Screen

Use any reliable measuring tape and measure from the bottom left hand screen corner to the top right hand screen corner of the screen only. You should be going in diagonal across the screen. This will let you know your laptop’s screen size i.e. 13″, 14″, 15″ 17″ diagonal width of screen.

How To Use These Dimensions

Now that you have your  laptop screen measurement, compare the screen size with the your chosen bag’s laptop dimensions.

With your laptop closed full, measure the width.

This is the longer side of your laptop and you need to measure across from the left to the right.

Keeping your laptop closed, measure your laptop from the bottom to the top anywhere, this is the shortest dimension of your laptop, to find out the it’s height.

Next, you will need to know how deep, or the depth o your laptop. Measure from the front (where you open the laptop) to the back of your laptop (where many of your laptop connectors are found) to determine the depth of your laptop.

How To Use These Dimensions

First, double check your laptop measurements (WxHxD) against the first line of your chosen bag’s laptop dimensions which will tell you the actual laptop compartment dimensions.

Then using the bag dimensions (WxHxD)  you will be able to find the actual size of the laptop bag. This is usually a little bit bigger than your laptop.
